WALK-BIKE SUNRISE PLAN

Beach Background 01.png
 Welcome! We're glad you're here!

Project Overview

We have updated the City's Bicycle & Pedestrian Greenways & Trails Master Plan, which was originally developed in 2016.  The overall purpose of this project is to improve connectivity throughout the community by developing an interconnected, multimodal network of vehicles, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities that make streets safer for everyone. Having a comprehensive and up-to-date master plan will help us achieve our goaland enable the City of Sunrise to secure grant funding for individual projects.

This project is a partnership between the City of Sunrise - Engineering Department, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and other local, and regional stakeholders. As part of the Master Plan process, we examined the conditions for walking and biking around Sunrise – the good and the bad – and provided new recommendations to help improve the experience for all users.  Your feedback was vital to our success!
